Collective Soul is an American rock band formed in 1992 in Stockbridge, Georgia, and later based in Atlanta. The group consists of brothers Ed Roland (lead vocals) and Dean Roland (rhythm guitar), along with Will Turpin (bass), Johnny Rabb (drums), and Jesse Triplett (lead guitar). The band gained prominence in the 1990s with their debut album, Hints Allegations & Things Left Unsaid (1993), which included the hit single "Shine." Their self-titled album Collective Soul (1995) solidified their status in the rock scene, followed by successful releases such as Dosage (1999) and Here to Eternity (2024). Collective Soul is known for their melodic rock sound, combining elements of alternative rock and post-grunge. Over three decades, the band has maintained a consistent presence in the music industry, releasing multiple albums, charting singles, and performing extensively, earning recognition as one of the enduring acts of modern American rock.
