When a tornado rips through Kansas, Dorothy (Hannah Roberts) and her dog, Toto, are whisked away in their house to the magical land of Oz. They follow the Yellow Brick Road toward the Emerald City to meet the Wizard, and en route they meet a Scarecrow (Scott Shipman) that needs a brain, a Tin Man (Jordan Barron) missing a heart, and a Cowardly Lion (Kirk Kelso) who wants courage. The wizard asks the group to bring him the broom of the Wicked Witch of the West (Emily Perzan) to earn his help.
ZTP’s The Wizard of Oz is offered at no cost to the public (donations gratefully accepted) during the six-week run on Thursday through Sunday evenings, July 7 – August 12, 2017. The “curtain” goes up right around dusk at 8:15 pm, but arrive early with your low-backed chairs and blankets to get your spot!
