Started as a pilot program by M.C. Ginsberg and the James Gang in 2005, Drive-In Movies at the Hangar features a full-length movie each month during the summer.
It takes place at the Iowa City Municipal Airport, with movies beginning approximately 30 minutes after sunset (usually around 8:45 PM – 9:00 PM). These are free, monthly Saturday night events, generally running from May to August.
Cost: Free admission.
Amenities: Free popcorn, with Summer of the Arts sometimes providing additional entertainment
