On Friday, March 14, Historic Springfield will come alive with a St. Patrick’s Day celebration filled with music, food, and family-friendly fun. The evening will begin at 5:30 PM in Sesquicentennial Park with a performance by Jacksonville Pipes & Drums, setting the tone for the festivities. At 6:00 PM, the Irish band A Fine Kettle of Fish will take the stage, providing an energetic soundtrack for the night.
Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs or blankets and enjoy a picnic-style dinner from a selection of local food trucks, with food and drink sales beginning at 5:30 PM. The SPAR Bar will be serving beer, and families can stop by the SPAR tent for children’s activities and a 50/50 raffle.
This free, family-friendly event offers a fantastic way to kick off St. Patrick’s Day weekend in a lively and welcoming atmosphere.
